Storage: Keep refrigerated (60 days) or frozen (1 year). Consume within 5-7 days after opening.

What is Seitan?

The word seitan has Japanese origins, meaning “made of protein.” Like tofu, seitan has been a staple of East Asian cuisine for centuries. Made from wheat protein, seitan is meaty, versatile, and full of flavor. Blackbird Foods was founded by chefs who spent over a decade perfecting this seitan recipe for their restaurants. Today, we proudly make seitan for both chefs and home cooks alike.
