Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

Blackbird Foods Recipe

Makes 10 Egg Rolls

INGREDIENTS

For the Egg Rolls…

  • 1 8oz package of Blackbird Sausage

  • 10 vegan Egg Roll Wrappers 

  • ½ of a Yellow Onion

  • 1 Clove Garlic 

  • 1 cup Mushrooms, diced

  • 1 tsp vegan Worcestershire 

  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • ¼ cup Pickles, diced 

  • ½ cup Vegan Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 cup of Canola Oil

For the Dipping Sauce…

  • 2 Tbsp vegan Mayonnaise 

  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard

  • 1 tsp Sriracha

METHOD

  1. Sauté Onion, Garlic, and Mushrooms until Onions are translucent. Add all of the seasonings, Sausage and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat, place in a large bowl

  2. Dice Pickle and stir into Sausage mixture. Add Cheese and stir well

  3. To assemble egg rolls:

    • Place wrapper on flat surface

    • Wet all the edges of the wrapper with water

    • Add ¼ cup filling to the center of the wrapper

    • Fold the bottom corner over filling, fold side corners in and roll up until fully sealed

  4. Heat 1 cup of Oil to 325 degrees Fahrenheit in a small pot. Fry egg rolls in oil until golden brown on all sides 

  5. Serve immediately with dipping sauce
